The artist
Fadwa Morabet is a Moroccan painter from Tangier. Medina Zone is her black-and-white series — the medina's architecture, figures, and quiet corners reduced to line, shadow, and a touch of gold. It sits alongside her main body of work, the cubist Amazigh-inspired portraiture of "Echoes of Womanhood."
